Tentative plans for TBL Studio in 2013 include:

Joshua Tree National Park and more dessicated southern California in pictures.  This is penciled in for the week of President's Day. (February 18th-22nd)  If fortune smiles upon me, there will be a 36MP Nikon D800e in the kit and I will strive to make some epic prints from the journey's take.

An extended road trip from Ohio to Montana and back.  Glacier National Park is melting away at an alarming rate, and I am compelled to get there as  soon as I can.  With a bit of good weather fortune, this is penciled in for May 18th through the 26th or so.

Twin Peaks?  The annual Twin Peaks Festival has been the first weekend in August.  I enjoy the break from sweltering midwest weather.  I really enjoy meeting my eclectic mix of friends.  They are awesome and I love them nearly as much as siblings. But I spend too dang much money on this trip.  So I am faced with a decision . . .

Take a rain check on 2013's fest (after 11 in a row)

Or find a way to do it much more frugally.  This would most likely involve award travel via air (cashing in those miles) and mooching rental car rides from my friends.  I have done the award miles thing once.  But I've never not had a rental for the fest.

So what do I plan for?  Taking a pass, or getting frugal?  Help a brother out, y'all.

In the fall, I want to road trip.  I have photogenic friends in every contiguous state and some a couple over.  So I'd like to visit and make portfolio pictures.  Actually, I want to do that in 2012, too.  :-D
