So here it is, July 2012.  Time to embark on a different kind of journey.  I've dabbled in photoblogging before, but it always seemed to have issues.  At one point I found some great software, but the developers started families and pretty much abandoned it.  Since then, it has been various iterations of wordpress.  But that never looked the same as the site here.  Zenfolio stepped up and fixed that recently.  So here we go.  :-D

Noteworthy photographic things for readers that might be interested:  I still like the look of Leica prime lenses shot wide open.  I want to shoot (or crop to) more panoramic images this year.  I am contemplating a complete departure from the landscape. (I'll wait while you faint and then wake back up)  What could drive that decision?  Some of the appallingly bad portraiture I have witnessed in the last five years or so.  I know I can do better and need to get out there and show people that I can.  :-D  I was kidding about the complete departure, but I think my portrait and landscape work can coexist peacefully.  ;-)

I will start with some samples of what I have been photographing recently.  Which, as usual, covers a lot of photographic spectrum.
