My first Sony?  (that was a campaign they ran a couple decades ago)  Perhaps I should have titled this Another Sony?  :-D

No, I have owned, and currently own Sony gear.  Specifically photographic gear.  Right now, I have the RX100.  And that is in the stable primarily as a  camera that I can hand to just about anyone without having to conduct a workshop on its operation.  Something I would never do with my M9.  I question how many people I know that even understand the whole manual focus thing.  LOL

But I have wanted to try the Sony RX1 since it was announced.  I have even written about it here some months back.  Take a point & shoot size camera, but stuff in a full sized 36mmx24mm sensor.  Then permanently mount a Carl Zeiss 35mm f2.0 lens on it.  I'm not keen on the non changeable lens, but shot with a Fuji X100 for some time and did not find it a limiting factor.  The controls on the X100 taunted me, though.  So it has moved on to a new owner.

So I am going to try the RX1 (courtesy of lensrentals.com) and see what the fuss is about.  I'm pretty sure the Leica will stay, because it's nearly therapeutic shooting with that one.  And I sold off my lenses and M8 a few years back, regretting it until I started replacing the kit.  The M isn't for everything, but I still enjoy it for all of the features it does not have.

I do want one of Nikon's D800e cameras to be the big kahuna, but I think there is still room for the M9 and one other.  Will it be the RX1?
